An ode to rain. She keeps falling this heavily, she’ll pick it up someday.

Dear rain,

I told God to put me in a cosy room

And on a rainy day

To put a book in my hand

And watch me fall in love with life

Dear rain,

I begged heaven to let you pour water all through the night

So my eyes don’t have to

Dear rain,

You are unbeatable company

A friend that disturbs my solitude not with words

But with window knocking

And roof splattering

I am at work

And so is the universe

Something about that makes me feel less alone
